Late Republican Gnomes

Late Republican Gnomes!!!

A rather fun project that ended up as a tournament (not) winning army. The Late Republican (wait for it...not Rome) Gnomes!!! With 15mm Gnomes from Peter Pig's Gnome Range and some fantastic Gnomes and Trolls (the ones we had as a child not the scary ones living under bridges) from Splitered Light Miniatures Gnome and Troll (call me Cave Imps for copyright infringement reasons ) Range. As only Peter Pig has mounted figures (and only one pose as Giant Snail Rider) I did a lot of cutting to be able to mount the foot soldiers on to their horses,unicorns,snails etc. I liked the result as you cannot tell that these troops do not come from a mounted range of miniatures.

The trolls were used as Numidian Ally for the Rom...Gnome Army and what made me excited about them is the addition of a small diamond on their bellies, just like their more grown cousins. I used nail decoration crystals found in your average nail decoration dealer (ie. ask your girlfriend,sister,mother etc where to find them)

I think this is by far the most spectacular army to watch marching on a battlefield
